How outbidding works

Each position has a current price — the amount shown above, or whatever the last person paid to hold it, whichever is higher. That's the number you need to beat.

Pay more than that, and you take the position — instantly. Whoever held it isn't removed from the board outright: they drop to the next position their own paid amount still beats, and so on down the line.

If nothing clears their bid, they're off the board — and refunded for whatever time they had left on their original 24 hours. See the Refund Policy for exactly how that's calculated.

Winning a position holds it for 24 hours from the moment you pay — same clock as a free claim. Prices only go up from there; the next challenger has to beat what you paid, not the starting price.
